We are all very concerned and impacted by the exponential evolution of the Covid-19 epidemic in Europe and the necessary adjustments to situations and instructions that change day by day or even hour by hour.
As you might already know, during the last days, the Belgian national security council has stepped up measures to enforce social distancing and unnecessary movement of people, in response to the evolving Covid-19 epidemic. A « containment » system is in place throughout the country since March 18th to minimum April 5th, 2020.
While non-essential retail-shops had to close, coming to work is allowed for people that are required on NMC premises to ensure business continuity while other colleagues are working from home.
PREVENTIVE MEASURES IN PLACE
Over the past weeks, we have implemented preventive measures, which we reinforce as the situation evolves, in order to provide maximum protection to our people and to contribute to the containment of the virus. This allows us to continue operating.
We are constantly monitoring news that could possibly impact our supply chain and will do everything possible to offer you the optimal level of service during these turbulent times. As you might expect, we are not in full control and, for example, changes in transportation rules or government measures might affect our capabilities. If this should be the case, we will keep you informed immediately.
